Check out this list of food outlets in Norwich, if you are in need of a quick travel fix without racking up the quarantine days afterwards. I would highly recommend each one. They are not listed in any particular order.
Jorge’s Restaurant, Portuguese [££]
Clams with Garlic, Coriander and Portuguese bread/ Cuttlefish Stew with Peppers and Onion/ Alheira Croquettes.
Kimchi, Korean [£]
Beef Dol-Sot which is Rice with assorted vegetables and a unique sauce (also known as a Bibim-Bap) served in a sizzling hot bowl. After I took this I covered the whole thing in freshly made Kimchi. It was beautiful!
Jive, Mexican [££]
Fried Chicken thigh Taco, Celeriac & Mustard slaw, Bread & Butter Pickles on the right and on the left is the Baja Style Fried Coley Taco, Pickled Cabbage & Chipotle Mayo. Jive has a forever changing menu as they produce weekly dishes around the produce they can locally supply.
Cocina Mia, Chilean [£]
Cocina Market stall in all it’s colour before a busy lunch shift. My go-to is their steak sandwich or if I get there early enough then a chicken & chorizo empanadas. But these go so quickly!
Ali Tandoori, Indian [££]
Finding a good Indian take-away has been something I’ve been trying to achieve since I first moved to Norwich, around eight/nine years ago. But I have now found my favourite and would 100% recommend to anyone.
Shiki, Japanese [££]
Located on a corner in Tombland, it is by far the most popular place to get beauty sushi, bento boxes and more.
Brick Pizza, Italian [££]
Wood fired pizzas located in the centre Norwich with indoor seating at their place or pull up a chair & a beer and enjoy in the Sir Garnet pub next door. This places knows how to get people hooked on their incredible authentic pizza toppings and combinations. We may not be in Naples but that’s fine when this is in Norwich.
Yard, Italian [££]
Pasta, more pasta and a little bit more! Amazing dishes every time and wonderful section of wines & spirits from around the world to pair with your food.
